Lead the development of our Edge Distribution Platform within the Distributed Networks domain and build secure, scalable solutions based on Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) technology.
Together with your self-organizing squad, you are responsible for a Managed Standardized Service built on Akamai Connected Cloud and AIDA. Your service acts as the online front door of the organization.
Everything that is hosted and exposed to the public domain is monitored, optimized, and secured through your platform. You provide 24/7 security for the online infrastructure, serving millions of customers worldwide. You collaborate with hundreds of development teams to optimize and secure applications in the best possible way.

Functie
As a Product Owner Online Banking Application and API Protection, you define and communicate the product vision, translate customer and business needs into a clear and prioritized Product Backlog, and ensure the team continuously works on the highest-value initiatives.
You work closely with vendors, development partners, stakeholders, and squads to ensure the service remains stable, secure, and compliant.
You gather data from internal and external sources and translate insights into clear priorities. You maintain oversight of interests and dependencies, break down complex topics into actionable decisions, and inspire your team to deliver measurable value.
You validate outcomes, collect feedback through reviews and user groups, and continuously refine the backlog to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Ensure internal users gain maximum value from the platform, delivering optimal security and user experience for online and mobile banking services. - Strengthen the provider–consumer model
Establish clear agreements on ownership, responsibilities, and support across domains. Provide transparency and regular progress reporting. - Simplify and standardize the technology landscape
Take ownership of a complex platform with numerous features and policies. Drive continuous improvement to reduce policy complexity and standardize the platform, improving collaboration and engagement with development teams. - Enhance operational resilience
Safeguard business continuity and infrastructure resilience to ensure this critical service remains operational during disruptions.
