BI & Analytics Engineer – Customer location / Hybrid

SUITED is looking for a BI & Analytics Engineer, responsible for turning operational data generated into actionable business intelligence and process insights. You’ll build dashboards and reports for stakeholders using Power BI, and apply process mining techniques to analyze real business process flows from event/log data.

Functie
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Develop and optimize semantic models, DAX measures, and Power Query (M) transformations
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into clear KPIs and visualizations
- Consume operational data from the platform’s Data & Insights layer (fed by Kafka event streams and transactional databases) to build reporting datasets
- Apply process mining techniques on event logs to reconstruct actual business process flows, identify bottlenecks, deviations, and inefficiencies
- Configure and maintain process mining tooling (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, or similar) and build supporting event-log extraction pipelines
- Ingest and analyze platform telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) from observability tools to build operational dashboards — covering service health, latency, error rates, and usage patterns
- Correlate telemetry/operational data with business process insights to give a unified view of platform performance and business outcomes
- Design and maintain data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support scalable, performant reporting
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across BI and process mining datasets
- Collaborate with Data Engineering/Platform teams to ensure operational data is structured and available for analytics use cases
- Automate report refresh schedules, alerts, and distribution to stakeholders
- Present insights and recommendations to business and leadership stakeholders in a clear, actionable format
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests across the organization
Functie-eisen
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI — report/dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, data modeling
- Experience building and optimizing semantic/tabular data models
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation
- Experience with process mining tools (Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, Apromore, or similar) — or strong aptitude to learn, if transitioning from BI
- Understanding of event log structures and how to derive process flows from operational/transactional data
- Exposure to telemetry/observability data — logs, metrics, traces — and building analytics/dashboards on top of tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK stack, or Application Insights
- Experience translating business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and visual analytics
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, fact/dimension modeling)
- Strong analytical and business process analysis skills
